More Than a Competition
LSC is a growth-focused creative coding journey designed to inspire young minds. Unlike high-pressure hackathons, our league prioritises curiosity, structured project development, and the joy of creating something unique. We provide the mentorship and resources for every child to explore technology at their own pace, transforming complex logical concepts into interactive stories and real-world applications.

Theme
Competition Brief
Deep dive into the 2026 theme requirements and specific technical goals for each group.
This year’s theme is SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 15: Life on Land. That means using only what we need, cutting down on waste, protecting plants and animals, and finding smart, creative ways to care for our planet in our daily lives.

Can beginners join the competition?
Yes. We celebrate every child's potential. To ensure they have the best experience, we suggest a little practice at home or a few basic lessons in Scratch or Python first. This helps them feel confident and ready to enjoy their 120-minute creative session as a fun, stress-free challenge where they can truly shine.
Which tools will the children be using?
Students aged 7-10 will use Scratch, while those 11-12 will work with Python. Everything happens on our user-friendly LSC Hub, which includes a special library of sounds and graphics to spark their imagination. Our goal is to make the technology feel accessible and exciting for every young creator.
How will the work be evaluated?
Our judges look at creativity, logic, and technical skills, where you can refer to the above rubrics. Beyond the final code, we truly value the effort and learning shown by each child.
Are parents able to assist during?
We love your support. While parents can offer big-picture ideas at home, the coding must be completed by the child to keep things fair. Participants can bring their own files for inspiration, and our friendly staff are always on hand to help with general needs, though they cannot provide help with the code itself.
Does every child get a certificate?
Yes. Every participant will receive a certificate to honor their hard work, and finalists will receive trophies (in addition to certificates) at our ceremony.
Where can we see the final results?
We will post all winners on this official page and send a text message to all participants that have been shortlisted for the showcase ceremony.
